Your Evening

The experience of visiting Garsington Opera at Wormsley is, from start to finish, designed for pleasure.

Patrons are welcome to arrive from 3.30pm when the estate opens. To gain access to the Wormsley Estate all visitors must show their tickets, or provide the name of their host.

Porters will be on hand, prior to the performance, to assist with the carrying of picnics from the Picnic Car Park.

For directions to the Wormsley Estate please visit our Travel Information page.

To fully enjoy your evening allow some time to explore the Wormsley Estate. Those arriving in the afternoon can take tea overlooking the famous Wormsley Cricket Ground, visit the impressive 18th century Walled Garden, admire the stunning views across the deer park and lake from our Champagne Bar, or take a stroll around the Opera Garden. In the early evening, audience members are invited to take their seats for the performance.

Performances have a long interval lasting approximately 85 minutes. This allows plenty of time to enjoy a three course meal in our restaurant, or to picnic in the gardens, either with your own picnic or a hamper from our caterers Feasts at Garsington

Bells are rung 15, 10 and five minutes before the start of the performance and at the end of the interval.

Performances end at approximately 10.15pm. If you are planning to be collected, please make arrangements in advance as mobile phone signals on the estate cannot be guaranteed.

Candles and the moon’s reflections in the lake will light your way.
